It's been 24 years since the Royals last won the American League Championship, and boy has it been a tough number of years for their fans. I honestly can't include myself as a fan anymore, as I stopped following them after I left Kansas for college, but I do have fond memories of the couple of games I went to as a young child. But, hey, I'll certainly cheer them on as they battle for the World Series Championship. It looks like they may be playing the SF Giants, so cheering for KC around here may not be the most popular choice, but I'm no fan of California any longer.
