I've been a slacker. There, I said it. I haven't lifted weights in over a year and my running's been sporadic (at best!). Between the lack of exercise and the extensive travel I've been doing for work, the ol' bod's looking a little, well, pudgy.
Looking for something to help kickstart me back into a fitness habit, I came across onehundredpushups.com. The idea is to spend six weeks building your strength up until you can do 100 uninterrupted pushups with perfect form. This is ideal for me since it requires no exercise equipment, so I can do it while I'm on the road or at home.
So, I'm on it! My initial assessment performance was 16 perfect pushups without pausing, which put me at Rank 3 (7 being the best) for my age group. Not great, but that's why I'm exercising, right?
Oh, and after this there are similar programs for situps, squats, dips, and pullups. The situps look fair game, but the others might be tough to do if my travel regimin keeps up. Anyways, the plan looks like something fun and different to get me back into some regular exercise. Anyone else want to try it?
