There seems to be a lot of angst in the Italian and Spanish media regarding Fernando Alonso's failure to capture the F1 driver's championship this year. While the feeling is certainly understandable, it's annoying when politicians start calling for wholesale sackings of the team management at Ferrari. Niki Lauda, former driver and team manager, had this wonderful take on the sturm und drang:
"There should be three days of mourning, then they all eat spaghetti again and forget the defeat."
