In my never-ending quest to learn more about hunting I've been listening to the podcast version of KFBK's "Outdoor Show" for several months in the hopes that it'd live up to its billing. I'd love to hear from local hunters about what they're hunting, strategies that work in the area, and topics specific to California hunting. I started listening at the tail-end of deer hunting season, and while I didn't hear anything relevant I figured I'd keep subscribed to it for coverage of all the political shenanigans about the condors and lead-free ammo.
Hah! Not a peep about hunting at all. It's all fishing, all the time.
The host seems to be deeply knowledgeable about fishing and has an enjoyable personality and presence on the radio. If I was into fishing I think this would be a favorite podcast of mine. However, "outdoors" doesn't mean just fishing; maybe they should consider a name change.
Meanwhile, I'll gather whatever tidbits I can from reading The Hog Blog and NorCal Cazadora.
