As some of you know, I've been taking some time off after I left my last employer. And it's been a great time, too. I got to spend a week with Michelle, Pilar and friends in Maui, doing some scuba diving, a luau, sea kayaking, and general Hawaiian relaxation. I took a live-aboard out to the Channel Islands with my dive buddy, Michael, and we earned our PADI Rescue Diver certifications. I also met up with some good folks from the DSN KLR650 list and spent a long weekend doing some adventure motorcycling around the Eureka area. Lastly, I've been volunteering with the San Jose Office of Emergency Services, providing amateur radio communications capabilities.
But, like all good things, they must come to an end eventually. Fortunately for me, I now get to focus my energies on another exciting venture: MetricStream. Since I don't blog about my work, this is the last you'll read of them here. However, I'm really excited by both the team and the solution there, so come Monday I'll be the newest member of their team in professional services.
