Recent news that Nanny Bloomberg is going to ban sodas (and other sweetened beverages) larger than 16 oz. really strikes the wrong nerve in me. It's disgusting that Bloomberg thinks this is the appropriate role of government. However, Tam managed to find some wonderful humor in it:

…which, if you don't get the reference, is a take-off from "molon labe," the famous phrase "reportedly spoken by King Leonidas I in response to the Persian army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae." (Wikipedia) Molon labe is also a phrase used by some gun owners who challenge the government (or anyone, really) to try to take their firearms from them.
